Fair Warning

Fair Warning is a newsletter about data visualisation, data storytelling, and cool interactive things on the internet.

I began writing Fair Warning in 2016 when I wasn't working as a data journalist but was really missing the day-to-day news cycles and the creativity that comes with trying to find new ways to communicate data. For me, visual storytelling is so crucial because it's the easiest way to engage people on the thorniest topics. I wanted to keep up with new innovations in the field, new tools, new ways of looking at things, and so I started curating relevant links and adding my observations and thoughts.

The newsletter has changed platforms multiple times (and no doubt will again!), and the format has changed, but the goal remains the same: Find the most interesting, thought-provoking, surprising, educational or fun things online.
